1. Chilli thrips Scirtothrips dorsalis : Thripidae: Thysanoptera.
  • The infested leaves develop crinkles and curl upwards.
  • Elongated petiole (Rat tail).
  • Buds become brittle and drop down.
  • Stunted growth, flower production & fruit set are arrested.

Cow bug Tricenturs bicolor : Membracidae: Hemiptera.
  • Adult: Adults are black Males are darker and more active.Both nymphs and adults suck the plant sap and exude honeydew, which attracts black ant.
