ONION and GARLIC
1. Onion Thrips,Thrips tabaci  :Thripidae: Thysanoptera.
Infested onion develops a spotted appearance on the leaves; subsequently turning into pale white blotches. Then leaves dry from tip to downward.


2. Onion fly, Delia antiqua :Muscidae: Diptera.
v  Eggs: Eggs are laid on soil near the base of onion plants

v  Maggot: white in colour. Pupation takes place in soil.
v  Adult: Adult flies are slender, greyish in colour having large wings.
 Rotting of the bulbs in storage.
